She married Alexander Harman McDonald on 14 August 1862, in Kent, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Chatham, Kent, Ontario, Canada in 1881. She died on 13 December 1891, in Ontario, Canada, at the age of 58, and was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg, Kent, Ontario, Canada.

1883 · Mining Boom

In 1883, there was a mining boom in Northern Ontario when mineral deposits were found near Sudbury. Thomas Flanagan was the blacksmith for the Canadian Pacific Railway that noticed the deposits in the river.
