When Samuel Coverston was born on 17 July 1810, in Shenandoah, Montgomery, Virginia, United States, his father, Henry Coverstone, was 24 and his mother, Susanna Clem, was 20. He married Amanda Fuller on 17 May 1832, in Gallia, Greenfield Township, Gallia, Ohio, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Johnson Township, Scotland, Missouri, United States in 1850. He died in September 1851, at the age of 41.
