He married Elizabeth Kristine Bolleson on 2 August 1907, in Chehalis, Lewis, Washington, United States. He lived in Nebsager, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark in 1880. He died on 16 November 1908, in Junction City, Geary, Kansas, United States, at the age of 34, and was buried in Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Geary, Kansas, United States.
