When Salvatore Talluto was born on 5 October 1905, in Cinisi, Palermo, Sicily, Italy, his father, Benedetto Talluto, was 26 and his mother, Anna Maltese, was 33. He married Filocia Maltese on 26 December 1928, in Sicily, Italy. He died on 30 May 1966, in Daytona Beach, Volusia, Florida, United States, at the age of 60.

    Florida contributed to World War I in several ways. The state's open land and warm climate made for a great military training location. Additional technological and agricultural developments took place in Florida as well. Roughly 42,030 Floridians joined the troops during 1917 and 1918.
