When Mary Dorey was born on 7 May 1892, her father, Alfred Dorey, was 29 and her mother, Judith Le Tocq, was 26. She married Francis John Gavey on 11 November 1915. She lived in St. Mary de Castro, Bailiwick of Guernsey in 1901 and Catel, Bailiwick of Guernsey in 1911. She died on 25 March 1953, in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland, at the age of 60.
