When Karna Olsdotter was born on 11 January 1753, in Hyby, Malmöhus, Sweden, her father, Ola Nilsson, was 40 and her mother, Elna Olasson, was 38. She married Anders Jappsson on 20 April 1774. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 9 daughters. She died on 5 February 1823, in Vinninge, Skåne, Sweden, at the age of 70.
