When Elizabeth Cathers was born in 1779, in County Londonderry, Ireland, her father, Francis Cathers, was 38 and her mother, Ann Paterson, was 30. She married John McMenemy about 1798, in Cecil, Maryland, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 daughters. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1857. She died on 20 August 1864, in Utah, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

1781 · The First Constitution

Serving the newly created United States of America as the first constitution, the Articles of Confederation were an agreement among the 13 original states preserving the independence and sovereignty of the states.
