He married Sarah Comstock Snyder on 20 January 1830, in St. Lawrence, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Wanship, Summit, Utah, United States in 1880 and Susanville, Grant, Oregon, United States in 1934. He registered for military service in 1852. He died on 18 February 1896, in Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho, United States, at the age of 89, and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho, United States.
