1896 · The Yaqui Uprising

The Yaqui Uprising was a conflict that was fought between the residents of Sonora and Arizona over several days. It started as an agreement of the Native Americans, in the state of Sonora, and Lauro Aguirre to start by capturing the customs house in Nogales. This confrontation was one of the last battles during the American Indian Wars. Several people were killed and wounded but was a win in the Revolution of Mexico.
1900 · Palacio de Lecumberri constructed

"The Black Palace of Lecumberri"" as it is known in pop culture, serves as a penitentiary from 1900 to 1976, when it is decomissioned. In 1980, the building is turned into a national archive."

Constitution changed to allow for six-year presidential term.

Spanish (Tenerife): apparently a derivative of the local place name La Perdoma, the seat of the town council of La Orotava, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canaries).
