He married Marjorie Jane Casey on 2 August 1942. He lived in El Rito, Rio Arriba, New Mexico, United States in 1935 and Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States in 1940. He died on 23 February 1982, in Aurora, Arapahoe, Colorado, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado, United States.
