She married Eugène Joseph Grégoire DE BRABANDER on 22 July 1889, in Brugge, West Flanders, Belgium. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. She died on 3 January 1938, in Brugge, West Flanders, Belgium, at the age of 70.

On July 19, 1870 France declared war on Prussia the south German states. The French forces were only 200,000 strong while the Prussian forces were 400,000. On September 1, 1870 the Battle of Sedan took place and Napoleon III along with 83,000 forces surrendered to the Germans. After this happened on October 7 the French minister made an escape from Paris in a balloon. Twenty days later Paris was seized.
