When Gustaf Emil Gustafsson was born on 18 October 1884, in Älmeboda, Kronoberg, Sweden, his father, Carl Alfred Gustafsson, was 27 and his mother, Helena Johansdotter, was 24. He married Anna Linnéa Olsson on 15 July 1933. He lived in Bräkne-Hoby, Blekinge, Sweden in 1901. He died on 29 May 1981, in Uppsala, Sweden, at the age of 96.
