He married Anna Maria Pilgermajer on 20 February 1770, in Magyarszék, Baranya, Hungary. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 3 September 1803, in Mecsekfalu, Baranya, Hungary, at the age of 58.
