Ethline Auroar Symonette Brown was born on 21 April 1899, in Jamaica as the daughter of Albert Symmonette and Isabella Dixon. She married Abraham Simpson Brown on 24 January 1922, in Jamaica. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. She died in 1979, in her hometown, at the age of 80.
