When Jacques Voyne was born on 29 November 1645, in Angoulême, Charente, France, his father, Jean Venne, was 24 and his mother, Marie Francoise Manseau, was 20. He married Marie Marguerite Prevost Provost before 11 March 1672, in Quebec, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 29 November 1700, in Île-Sainte-Thérèse, Montreal, Canada, New France, at the age of 55, and was buried in Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes, Lower Canada, British North America.

1682 · The Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles was originally known as a hunting log and retreat for Louis XII. When Louis XIV took over he moved his family into it. After he died the palace was abandoned. It has since been turned into a museum.
