He lived in Evans, Columbia, Georgia, United States in 1920 and Green Sea Township, Horry, South Carolina, United States in 1950. He registered for military service in 1918. He died on 6 January 1959, at the age of 71, and was buried in Edgefield, Edgefield, South Carolina, United States.
