Eva Amanda Thollén was born on 22 December 1870, in Vallda, Halland, Sweden as the daughter of Lars August Thollén and Johanna Lovisa Sundberg. She married Gustav* Adolf Engström on 3 July 1895, in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 26 March 1943, at the age of 72.
