Porter Dewey Perkins was born on 16 August 1898, in Allen, Kentucky, United States as the son of Susie Emaline Perkins. He married Elizabeth T “Lizzie” Marr on 6 April 1919, in Sumner, Tennessee, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He lived in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, United States in 1930. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 24 July 1966, in Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 67, and was buried in Bethlehem Missionary Church Cemetery, Allen, Kentucky, United States.
