When Hannah Waggle was born on 10 December 1841, in Hancock, Illinois, United States, her father, Jacob Severs Waggle, was 25 and her mother, Mary Vancil, was 21. She married William Lewis Penrod on 28 April 1857, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. She lived in Madison, Iowa, United States in 1850 and Washington, Washington, Utah, United States in 1860. She died on 1 April 1929, in Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States, at the age of 87, and was buried in Parowan Cemetery, Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States.
