When Julia Mendez Sosa was born in 1903, her father, Braulio Mendez y Bonilla, was 22 and her mother, Ana Maria Sosa Mendez, was 20. She married Pedro Lopez Rosa on 5 July 1924, in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. She died on 15 April 1933, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the age of 30.
