When Myrtle Rosella Gadsby was born on 9 February 1897, in Dawn, Lambton, Ontario, Canada, her father, Joseph Walter Gadsby, was 29 and her mother, Teresa Frank, was 20. She died in 1979, at the age of 82, and was buried in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Poplar Hill, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.
