St. Cosmas, martyred with his brother Damian in Cilicia in the early 4th century ad , came to be widely revered in the Eastern Church.2 Slovenian (also Küzma): from the personal name Kuzma, Küzma, dialect forms of Kozma, Greek Kosmas (see 1 above). The spelling Küzma come from easternmost Slovenia.
