He lived in Cavendish Township, Peterborough, Canada West, British North America in 1881 and Victoria, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He died on 6 August 1957, in Burns Lake, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 83, and was buried in Burns Lake Municipal Cemetery, Burns Lake, British Columbia, Canada.

1883 · Mining Boom

In 1883, there was a mining boom in Northern Ontario when mineral deposits were found near Sudbury. Thomas Flanagan was the blacksmith for the Canadian Pacific Railway that noticed the deposits in the river.
