When Anne Johanne Jonsdatter was born on 22 October 1793, in Rennesøy, Rogaland, Norway, her father, Jon Jonson Åsland, was 42 and her mother, Ane Mette Kjellsdatter Varaberg, was 34. She married Sven Jakobsen on 21 July 1822, in Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. She immigrated to New York City, New York, United States in 1829 and lived in Davis, Utah, United States in 1850 and Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway in 1865. She died on 17 December 1878, in Lehi, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Lehi City Cemetery, Lehi, Utah, Utah, United States.
