She married Joseph Smith Jr on 12 June 1843, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States. She lived in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States in 1839 and Utah, United States in 1870. She died on 17 January 1879, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 94, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
