When James Dunn was born on 28 June 1793, in Sussex, New Jersey, United States, his father, Samuel Dunn Sr, was 40 and his mother, Femetje "Phebe" Kuykendaal, was 29. He married Sarah Barker on 28 June 1815, in Ontario, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Livonia, Wayne, Michigan, United States in 1840 and Pottawattamie, Iowa, United States in 1850. He died on 31 August 1872, in Providence, Cache, Utah, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Providence City Cemetery, Providence, Cache, Utah, United States.

1794 · Creating the Eleventh Amendment

The Eleventh Amendment restricts the ability of any people to start a lawsuit against the states in federal court.

"The town was part of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase. The region was first settled around 1788. The town was formed in 1796 and was formerly known as ""Sullivan."" The town of Phelps is named after one of the original proprietors. The community was incorporated in 1855."
