He married Hannah Finn about 1810, in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Clinton Township, Franklin, Ohio, United States for about 10 years and Iron, Utah, United States in 1850. He died on 23 January 1853, in Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Parowan Cemetery, Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States.
