Lina Gerber was born on 31 October 1884, in Hessigkofen, Solothurn, Switzerland as the daughter of Johannes Gerber and Elisabeth Beer. She married Johannes Alfred Heiniger on 23 September 1904, in Signau, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. She died on 20 February 1954, in Illighausen, Thurgau, Switzerland, at the age of 69.
