1984 · York Minster Fire

Age 16

At 3 am on July 9, 1984, a call went out that the York Minster was on fire. When a lightning bolt hit the roof of the building it caused it to catch fire. The damage that was caused estimated a 2.25m pounds. Within four years it was rebuilt.
