When Anna Catharina Schuchmann was born on 19 March 1830, in Frankenhausen, Dieburg, Grand Duchy of Hesse, her father, Johann Georg Schuchmann, was 42 and her mother, Margaretha Barbara Oberndörfer, was 40. She married Adam Ruths on 23 May 1852, in Ober Beerbach, Bensheim, Grand Duchy of Hesse. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 30 December 1905, in Stettbach, Seeheim-Jugenheim, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hesse, Germany, at the age of 75.
