A federal law prohibiting all immigration of Chinese laborers. The Act was the first law to prevent all members of a national group from immigrating to the United States.

1882 · Cleveland School of Art

Originally called the Western Reserve School of Design for Women, the Cleveland School of Art is a co-educational school that has highlighted its students works in different arts and designs. After World War II, the school began offering a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and soon after became the Cleveland Institute of Art.
