1926 · Mammoth Cave is Discovered

Age 5

In 1926, in central Kentucky, Mammoth Cave was discovered. It dates back to Mississippian times and consists of over four hundred miles of passageway. On July 1, 1941, the cave was made a National Park.

Age 12

"New Jersey was severely impacted by the Great Depression. In response to the economic woes of the country, President Franklin D Roosevelt issued a series of programs and regulations referred to as the ""New Deal"". One-tenth of the New Jersey population was already using New Deal programs by 1933."
1941 · Millville Airport is Opened

Age 20

"On August 2, 1941, Officials from the local, state, and federal level dedicated the Millville Airport as ""America's First Defense Airport"". By January of 1943, the gunnery school opened to train fighter pilots. Over 1,500 pilots would be trained through this airport."
