He married Lillian Maxine Lavelock on 23 February 1973, in Cowgill, Caldwell, Missouri, United States. He lived in Center Township, Decatur, Kansas, United States in 1930 and Excelsior Springs, Ray, Missouri, United States in 1996. He died on 17 March 1994, at the age of 71, and was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Fishing River Township, Clay, Missouri, United States.
