1960 · The Euromast (Tower) built

The proposed (Euro Tower) was designed by architect H.A. Maaskant and contractor J.P. van Eesteren. In the end, the tower's name was changed to Euromast, due to its sailing design elements. It has a replica of a ship's bridge, and a crow's nest that houses two luxurious restaurants. At time of construction, the Euromast was the tallest building in the country.
