She lived in Portsea, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom in 1851 and Grantsville, Tooele, Utah, United States in 1870. She died on 13 May 1881, in Grouse Creek, Box Elder, Utah, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Grouse Creek Cemetery, Grouse Creek, Box Elder, Utah, United States.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.

The Act of Union was a legislative agreement which united England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland under the name of the United Kingdom on January 1, 1801.

1820 · Making States Equal

The Missouri Compromise helped provide the entrance of Maine as a free state and Missouri as a slave state into the United States. As part of the compromise, slavery was prohibited north of the 36°30′ parallel, excluding Missouri.
