When Gulbrand Andersson Mundheim was born in 1711, in Hordaland, Norway, his father, Anders Gulbrandsen, was 41 and his mother, Marite Brynjelsdatter Nordtveit, was 36. He married Ingeborg Andersdotter Nedrevage in 1735, in Hordaland, Norway. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 4 daughters. He died in 1778, at the age of 67.
