When Charlotte Condit was born on 17 June 1833, in Delaware, Ohio, United States, her father, Amos William Condit, was 28 and her mother, Ann Tompkins, was 26. She married Joseph McKee Davis on 11 December 1851, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters. She lived in Eden Judicial Township, Alameda, California, United States in 1860 and California, United States in 1870. She died on 12 September 1874, in Smithfield, Tarrant, Texas, United States, at the age of 41, and was buried in Smithfield Cemetery, North Richland Hills, Tarrant, Texas, United States.

1836 · Remember the Alamo

Being a monumental event in the Texas Revolution, The Battle of the Alamo was a thirteen-day battle at the Alamo Mission near San Antonio. In the early morning of the final battle, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. Quickly being overrun, the Texian Soldiers quickly withdrew inside the building. The battle has often been overshadowed by events from the Mexican–American War, But the Alamo gradually became known as a national battle site and later named an official Texas State Shrine.

1839 · Nauvoo is Settled

After the Saints had been chased out of Missouri they moved to a swampy area located next to the Mississippi River. Here they settled and named the place Nauvoo which translates into the city beautiful.

1845 · Oh My Father

"In October 1845, the newspaper Times and Seasons published a poem written by Eliza R. Snow entitled ""My Father in Heaven."" It has become the well known hymn, ""Oh My Father."" The song is only one in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hymnbook that referrs to a Heavenly Mother."
