Brief Life History of Allison Frances

Allison "Al" Frances O'Brien January 20, 1920 - May 21, 2014 Al O'Brien, 94, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014. He was born January 20, 1920 in Festus Missouri to Bernard and Emma Mary Grassman O'Brien. Al met the love of his life Wanda Jo Ribble and they married October 26, 1946 in Lubbock. He graduated with a degree in Physical Engineering from the University of Missouri. AL became the first General Manager of the White River Water District in 1963 and worked there until his retirement in 1998. He loved his work and family. Al was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Carlton O'Brien. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Jo, a daughter Cinda Givens and her husband Preston of Spur, a son Tommy O'Brien and his wife Susan of Abilene, a brother Orville O'Brien of South Carolina. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; Heath Givens, Kandice Bell, Dr. Adam O'Brien, Eric O'Brien, and four great grandchildren; Madison Givens, Weslyn Givens, Appolynne Bell, and Ashton Bell. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton. A visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
