When Mario Zanzi was born on 31 July 1921, in São Paulo, Brazil, his father, Romeu Zanzi, was 26 and his mother, Maria Augusta Bentivoglio, was 18. He died on 6 June 2002, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil, at the age of 80.
