He married Caroline Powell on 12 April 1842, in Williams, Ohio, United States. He lived in Scipio Township, Allen, Indiana, United States in 1850. He died on 29 September 1851, at the age of 38, and was buried in Scipio Cemetery, Scipio Township, Allen, Indiana, United States.
