She lived in Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1850 and Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1860. She died on 22 July 1870, in Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Parowan Cemetery, Parowan, Iron, Utah, United States.

He was a descendant of Nathaniel Hancock, who was known to have been in Cambridge, MA, as early as 1634. Born in Braintree, MA, John Hancock was president of the Second Continental Congress and the first governor of the state of MA.
