When Anna Kidder was born on 16 September 1822, in Wilton, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States, her father, Ephraim Kidder, was 31 and her mother, Betsy Bovee, was 30. She married John Burton on 4 May 1841, in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 15 May 1868, in her hometown, at the age of 45, and was buried in Vale End Cemetery, Wilton, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1833 · First Public Library Founded in Petersborough

In 1833, the oldest tax-supported public library in the world was established by Reverend Abiel Abbot. 

1836 · Remember the Alamo

Being a monumental event in the Texas Revolution, The Battle of the Alamo was a thirteen-day battle at the Alamo Mission near San Antonio. In the early morning of the final battle, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. Quickly being overrun, the Texian Soldiers quickly withdrew inside the building. The battle has often been overshadowed by events from the Mexican–American War, But the Alamo gradually became known as a national battle site and later named an official Texas State Shrine.
