She married Lorenzo Barrera Gómez in 1917, in Rafael Urdaneta, Táchira, Venezuela. They were the parents of at least 1 son. She died on 8 November 1996, in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, at the age of 112.

An international tribunal in Paris ruled on a border dispute between Venezuela and British Guiana (Guyana). Britain received most of the claim for the Essequibo region, close to 111,000 square miles.
