When Ramón Angarita was born in 1890, in Ocaña, Norte de Santander, Colombia, his father, Andres Genaro Angarita, was 31 and his mother, Ana Belna Mandariaga, was 30. He married María Pastora Zúñiga Epíndola on 20 August 1920, in San Pedro, Lebrija, Santander, Colombia. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died in 1948, in Lebrija, Santander, Colombia, at the age of 58.
