He married Hazel May Westerlund on 2 September 1925, in Oregon, Ogle, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He lived in United States in 1949 and Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois, United States in 1950. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 25 October 1978, in Fairfax, Virginia, United States, at the age of 89.
