He married Mary Catherine Hughes on 16 March 1925, in Monroe, Monroe, Michigan, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Swissvale, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States for about 10 years and Darby Township, Delaware, Pennsylvania, United States in 1940. He died on 31 December 1963, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 60.

1905 · The Movie Theater

The world’s first movie theater was located in Pittsburgh. It was referred to as a nickelodeon as at the time it only cost 5 cents to get in. 

1919 · The Eighteenth Amendment

The Eighteenth Amendment established a prohibition on all intoxicating liquors in the United States. As a result of the Amendment, the Prohibition made way for bootlegging and speakeasies becoming popular in many areas. The Eighteenth Amendment was then repealed by the Twenty-first Amendment. Making it the first and only amendment that has been repealed.
