He married Lettie Marie Vander Meyden on 1 September 1945, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He lived in Williams District, Wood, West Virginia, United States in 1940 and Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States for about 49 years. He registered for military service in 1943. He died on 2 January 1999, in Reno, Washoe, Nevada, United States, at the age of 73.

1930 · The Tower City Center

Originally known as the Cleveland Union Terminal, the Tower City Center was originally commissioned by the Van Sweringen brothers. At the time, it was the second-largest excavation project in the world after the Panama Canal. From 1930 until 1964, the 52-story Terminal Tower was the tallest building in North America outside of New York City.
