When Thomas Hoo the Elder was born about 1396, in Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, England, his father, Sir Thomas Hoo, was 27 and his mother, Eleanor de Felton, was 37. He married Lady Elizabeth Wychingham before 1 July 1428. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 13 February 1455, in England, at the age of 60, and was buried in Battle, Sussex, England.
