1915 · Zeppelin Raid

During WWI Zeppelin raids took place all over England. The first of the raids happened from June 6-7, 1915, in Hull, East Yorkshire, England. During the attack 24 people were killed 40 injured, and 40 houses destroyed.
1939 · Operation Pied Piper Began

On September 1, 1939, Operation Pied Piper started in Manchester. In an attempt to keep children safe from air raids during WWII, millions of children were removed from their homes and placed with otehr people in the countryside for their safety.
