When Emily Kate Scoville was born on 23 April 1857, in Independence, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States, her father, Leroy Ansel Scoville, was 29 and her mother, Adaline Almira Ballou, was 26. She married Thaddeus W Ireland on 18 November 1872. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Washtenaw, Michigan, United States in 1860. She died on 5 June 1892, in Park City, Summit, Utah, United States, at the age of 35, and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.

1860 · Ohio supports the Union side of the Civil War

This Act was to restrict the power of the President removing certain office holders without approval of the Senate. It denies the President the power to remove any executive officer who had been appointed by the president with the advice and consent of the Senate, unless the Senate approved the removal during the next full session of Congress. The Amendment was later repealed.
